The Plantation House has achieved this distinction
from Wine Spectator more than ten times.

Wines at The Plantation House Restaurant - Kapalua, Maui

The Plantation House Restaurant believes that wine is just as
essential to the dining experience as the cuisine it is paired with.
Our wine program embodies our passion in seeking out intriguing
wines wherever we go, and wherever we can find them. We look for
wines that are clean and crisp to complement our fresh Hawaiian fish,
and we also seek out wines that are rustic and robust, to enhance our
heartier Mediterranean-influenced dishes. The result of our passion for
wine is an extensive wine list. We invite you to explore our wine list
with the same enthusiasm which inspired us to create it. While this page

Come Join Our Table Wine Dinners
Due to the popularity of our "Come Join Our Table" wine dinner
series will be an ongoing event. The Plantation
House looks forward to hosting these intimate wine dinners with
new winemakers, as well as welcoming back those who have
joined us in past years.

Stag's Leap Wine Cellars February 16, 2012
We are excited to offer A Winemaker Dinner featuring the wines of Stag's Leap Wine Cellars. In 1976 the unthinkable happened. The 1973 Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon - the first vintage produced with grapes from vines a mere three years old - was judged the best. The Cabernet had bested four top-ranked Bordeaux, including first-growths Château Mouton-Rothschild and Château Haut-Brion. There will be a special appearance by Winemaker Nicki Pruss.

We are pleased to welcome "Ted Lemon, named "Winemaker of the Year" by the San Francisco Chronicle for 2010. Ted Lemon has a very "old world" style of wine
making...his wine is not overly extracted and big, but rather character driven, with minerality, terroir, and a sense of place. It's best described with feminine descriptives...sexy, satiny, sleek, soft; and not with descriptives like big, massive,
muscular. It's great wine, and it's a real bonus to have the chance to taste with the creative mind that made the wine, and surely an opportunity not to be missed!

Mollydooker Wine Dinner - Sparky Marquis "Blends a Hand"
The Plantation House enjoyed hosting an interactive wine dinner in October of 2009,
featuring Mollydooker Wines. Winemaker Sparky Marquis invited guests to join in
and learn about the winemaking process as they created their own blends during the
event. Chef Alex mixed it up with several dining stations in the restaurant's Grille
Room, while guests enjoyed an evening filled with fun, great food and wine.
Named "Australian Winemakers of the Year," Sarah & Sparky Marquis have received numerous accolades for their wines over the years.
